COLON CANCER CELLS in 3D
Colon cancer cells were cultured in 3D within degradable QGel™ matrix with RGD (REF 1001) for three weeks and grew from single cells to large spheroids. Cell division process throughout the spheroids was assessed using Phospho-HistoneH3 staining (Figure 1, red spots).
MATERIALS
- Colon cancer cells (DLD-1 CRC cell line)
- Approx. cell seeding density: 120'000 cells/mL gel
- QGel™ MT 3D Matrix: degr. with RGD (REF 1001)
- Culture medium: RPMI + 10% FBS
METHODS
- Encapsulating cells & casting gel discs
- Staining for confocal microscopy
